Hong Kong financial services company Venture Smart Financial Holdings (VSFG) plans to submit an application for an Ethereum Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) in the second quarter and hopes to launch a Bitcoin ETF in the first quarter. Lawrence Chu, Chairman of the company, stated that they are preparing to submit the application for the Bitcoin ETF to the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong. Additionally, around 10 other fund companies are also considering launching cryptocurrency ETFs in Hong Kong.
