John Jansen is the Founder & Chairman of Deribit, a derivatives trading platform. He is a Bitcoin enthusiast and has been a options trader at the Amsterdam Exchange since 1999. He first heard about Bitcoin in the summer of 2012, bought some, and began trading on multiple exchanges. In early 2014, he came up with the idea of creating a cryptocurrency futures and options trading platform.
