Zhang Jieping is the Founder of Matters Lab, a new decentralised content platform based on blockchain technology. She was previously the Editor-in-Chief of Initium Media, the Executive Editor-in-Chief of iSun Affairs, the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of City Magazine, and a writer for the New York Times Chinese Website and reporter for Asia Week. From 2006 to 2015, she wrote extensively about governance, politics, and social movements in mainland China and Hong Kong. During her 9 years as a journalist, she has received 13 journalism awards, including the "Journalist of the Year (2010)" award from the Society of Publishers in Asia.
