Christian was the seed investor in Republic in 2016 and co-founded Republic Capital as a subsidiary of Republic in 2019. He works full-time on deal sourcing, capital formation, and supporting the entire Republic ecosystem. Christian has invested in more than 200 companies, including the seed rounds of Cruise, Relativity Space, Yandex, Yubico, and Ozon. He was also an early check into investment funds Initialized Capital and Polychain. Christian began his career in sales and trading in Moscow, Russia in the early 1990s. He was a partner at United Financial Group, which was later sold to Deutsche Bank in 2007.
