Wrapped Beacon ETH Intro

Wrapped Beacon ETH (WBETH) is a liquid staking token introduced by Binance in April 2023. Each WBETH represents one staked Ethereum (ETH) plus any staking rewards accrued since its inception. This design allows holders to earn staking rewards while maintaining liquidity, enabling participation in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and other platforms outside of Binance.

Unlike traditional staking methods that lock assets, WBETH provides flexibility by allowing users to utilize their staked ETH in various DeFi applications without forfeiting staking rewards. The value of WBETH increases over time as staking rewards accumulate, with the WBETH to ETH conversion ratio updated daily to reflect these earnings.

Users can acquire WBETH by staking ETH or wrapping BETH tokens on Binance's ETH Staking page without fees. WBETH can also be minted directly using ETH on the BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum networks. This approach offers a seamless way to engage in staking while retaining asset liquidity for broader DeFi engagement.
