Every time it's time to announce a new partnership with a brand, the Young Platform marketing team gathers in the usual Candle Room (a meeting room decorated with the famous Japanese candles).
The goal of these meetings is always the same: to find the most authentic way to tell the story of the points of contact between Young Platform and the partner brand, explaining the reasons that drive us to collaborate.
With HelloFresh, it was inflation, a topic dear to both brands;
With WeRoad, it was iconic travel destinations around the world for crypto;
With NordVPN, it was privacy, a foundational pillar of both entities;
A few weeks ago, it was time for the new collaboration with Serenis.
As always, we gathered in our Candle Room, in front of our computers, ready to brainstorm creative ideas that could showcase the value of this new partnership.
We spent hours proposing ideas:
🔍 Someone talked about control, drawing a parallel between managing mental well-being and managing finances;
🤸🏼♂️ Another suggested the theme of balance, both emotional and financial;
🔒 Others thought about protection—of human capital and economic assets.
Many ideas, many directions, but every time, at the end of each proposal, there was a feeling of emptiness.
It was clear that something was missing.
Then, finally, a light bulb went off 💡.
We realized that no narrative would truly do justice.
Any story would inevitably oversimplify a topic too important: well-being.
Trying to reduce everything to a slogan or a simple storytelling exercise would be superfluous, insufficient, and unfair.
In Italy, mental health is a worrying issue. Millions of people suffer from disorders like depression or chronic anxiety, but access to psychotherapy remains heavily limited. The reasons are many: underfunding of public services, shortage of specialized staff, and more generally, a lack of mental health awareness.
In short, a taboo.
And we at Taboo know this very well.
That's why we decided to tell the truth.
The collaboration with Serenis stems from a concrete need: to support their mission to make mental and physical well-being more accessible.
Starting today, if you are part of the Young Platform Clubs, you can access a special agreement for Serenis programs (psychotherapy and nutrition) 💜.
