According to TechFlow news, on October 17, global financial services company Euroclear announced that it has acquired a strategic stake in Singapore's digital market infrastructure operator Marketnode, with the specific transaction amount undisclosed. Marketnode was jointly established by the Singapore Exchange (SGX Group) and Temasek in 2021, and it serves as a financial market infrastructure based on distributed ledger technology (DLT) in the Asia-Pacific region. The company operates two main platforms: Gateway and Fundnode, focusing on tokenization and fund management, respectively. In May of this year, HSBC also invested in Marketnode. Philippe Laurensy, CEO of Euroclear's Asia-Pacific market, stated that this collaboration demonstrates both parties' commitment to leveraging Euroclear's global network, established fund infrastructure, and digital capabilities to develop a new generation of fund market infrastructure.
